AZORES ISLAND’S // PORTUGAL

The last stop on the WQS tour for 2011 was in the beautiful Azores Islands off Portugal. It was such a cool place, so picturesque…although I was too lazy to get photos : / We went on lots of adventures too, we found volcanic hot springs, they were incredibly HOT. We also found a really cute little left hand point break, but to get there we had to walk through a farm with horses and cows, cross electric fences, climb down cliffs, cross a creek then clamber over rocks…..only one way in and one way out!

It was an action packed finish to the year for the girls WQS Series. We had perfect, clean 4ft waves all day long! I lost in the quarter-finals against Lakey Peterson, but I finished the year off overall in 10th Place! If 2012 is nearly as much fun at 2011 was I can’t wait!
